Whilst
many of you know us, we are facing a huge predicament, every year, despite our
trials and tribulations, we have persevered, but after the Tsunami disaster, we
are finding more and more companies that have committed themselves to assisting
this disaster and forgetting the help that is so desperately needed here in
their own country. The Tsunami disaster could not have come at a worse time for
the HIV/Aids orphans of Africa as the focus is being redirected, but also
seriously detracting from the help required to keep the HIV/Aids victims a live.
The actual death toll could double if one includes the thousands of children who
are going to die of HIV/Aids Starvation because of the loss of funding.
We all get to choose our own journeys in life and the staff of SAACF has chosen to help people less fortunate, whilst its a noble path, we depend on your support to help us achieve the goals we set to help fulfil the lives of others. Last year we distributed a total of R280 000 in stationary and clothing for our back to school project, its already mid February and we have raised a total of R5000.00 which has helped 16 children out of the 10 000+ we support. It’s a far cry from our target last year, and with every regret we receive, we become a little more despondent. Whilst we endeavour to keep our chins up, the market is being flooded with requests and where our donations previously made a huge difference and impact on our projects, we are currently spending more funds on trying not only to get a donation, but also to bring the donation in.
